What is Radon?
Radon is a colorless, odorless gas the permeates up from the ground. Radon has been documented to be the 2nd leading cause of lung cancer in the United States.
The building codes have mapped out the U.S. into regions showing the concentration levels of radon. The regions were rated between level 1 and level 4 with level 1 having the highest documented radon levels. Most of East Tennessee is in region 1, and TDEC has recommended that all houses be tested for radon levels.
Lilly Home Inspections provides radon testing and reporting services that meet the standards set forth by the EPA in conjunction with the real estate industry.
